Teaching Law in Iceland

In October 2016 Joe was a visiting professor at the University of Iceland Law School. Thirty-three students from Iceland and several other European countries took his course entitled “The American Judicial System and American Constitutional Law.” This was Joe’s fourth teaching stint abroad. In Russia (2008 and 2011) he has taught courses on the American jury system, constitutional law, freedom of speech and press, and mediation and negotiation. Earlier in 2016 he taught First Amendment law and mediation and negotiation at the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia).

Return Visit to Franklin Pierce University

On September 14, 2016, Franklin Pierce University held a series of lectures to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Joe’s lecture, “Blasphemy in Modern Times,” focused on the connection between terrorism and Islamic fundamentalism.

Featured Speaker at The Monadnock Center for History and Culture

On May 24, 2016, Joe was a featured speaker at The Monadnock Center for History and Culture in Peterborough, speaking on the subject of “Blasphemy in Modern Times.”

Guest Lecturer in Slovenia
